A series of 5 concerts from Jan 18-22nd has helped raise over $10,000 towards the Tsunami relief effort. The music performed was a mix of American and and Hindi or Urdu music, with the former being contributed to by CYBERMIDI. In total, about 20,000 attended this Paksistani concert series, with most of the contributions by college students.
Ali Moeen, a musician and CYBERMIDI member participated in the event, and programmed much of the Hindi music. "We feel the concerts were a huge success. While the amount raised may seem modest, the average income in this area is quite small, and the funds raised were quite generous in relation. More events are scheduled and with the help of CYBERMIDI we are hoping to raise somewhat near to $50,000 and we will because we are determined."
Special Thanks to Mr. Ajay Rao who greaty participated and orgainized the event.
