Great Lakes Song Contest Adds Prizes As Deadline Approaches

Thousands of dollar's worth of new prizes have been added as the 2008 Great Lakes Songwriting Contest enters its final month.

Just added, the writers of the eleven winning songs will get a year of Primo MoB membership with Broadjam.com and a year of "Song 3" memberships with Indie-Music.com. These new prizes will allow the winners free web hosting, on-line music selling and video posting, and increased promotional opportunities.

Potion 13, the story...

POTION 13, Independent band from Montreal, Quebec.

The band is: Danielle Langlois (vocals), Brian Harps (guitar), Naty (bass).

Potion 13 started in the year 2002.. Our first album "Porte-bonheur" (lucky charm) came out in november 2002. It was recorded at Media Musique studio in Montreal. Since then:
65 appearences on TV of our show (recorded nov. 2005) at the Metropolis.

More than 350 radio shows have played our songs. More than 350 websites host an artist page for our band, more than 350 host our MP3, so many have a link towards potion13.org, all that leaded to over 1,000,000 downloads of our mp3, all over the net, all over the globe. read more...

Living Out The Dream

When I heard about American Idol's song competition, I decided I had to give it a shot. I was struggling to come up with a new song until I find another song I recently wrote but never finished, called "Dancing In My Dreams".

I thought the melody was great, but the song didn't fit the competition. So I completely re-wrote the lyrics, and changed the title to "Living Out The Dream". So this is my 2008 American Idol Song competition submission.
